What a Facebook Ads consultant does

Publishing an ad on Facebook takes a few minutes. Getting consistent results over time takes a method: working out how much you can spend to win a customer, giving Meta accurate data to optimize on, and refreshing creatives before your audience gets tired of them.

As a Meta Ads consultant I take care of all of this and keep you updated with regular reports on spend and results.

Why invest in Facebook and Instagram

Reach new customers

Meta Ads puts your offer in front of people who don’t know your business yet. It’s an effective way to introduce a product or service to people who aren’t searching for it on Google yet.

Predictable costs

After a few months of campaigns with stable data, you know your average cost per lead or per sale and how it shifts with the seasons. That lets you plan your budget around your revenue targets.

Scale budget step by step

When a campaign works, raising the budget right away looks like the obvious move. But as the audience widens, acquisition cost tends to rise. That’s why I increase spend gradually and check the margin at every step.

Meta Ads consultant: what I do on your account

  • Initial review of the account and historical data, if any.
  • Tracking: Pixel, Conversions API, domain verification, events and conversion values.
  • Campaign structure: Advantage+ or manual setups, depending on data volume and goals.
  • Creatives: copy, briefs for photos and videos, new variants to test every month.
  • Product catalog for e-commerce and dynamic remarketing.
  • Regular reports with spend, results and next steps.

Already running campaigns and want to find out where the budget is leaking? Start with a Facebook Ads audit.

Facebook Ads for e-commerce

Running an online store? Before launching any campaign I calculate your break-even ROAS: the minimum return below which every sale loses you money. With a 40% margin, for example, you need a ROAS of at least 2.5 to cover your ad spend.

On that basis I set up the product catalog, campaigns to acquire new customers and remarketing to people who visited your store without buying. I then compare Meta’s data with your store’s and with GA4, which rarely match: I explain why in this article (in Italian).

Facebook and Instagram campaign planning

Lead generation with Facebook and Instagram

Facebook and Instagram are effective tools for collecting qualified leads. Meta offers two options:

  • Instant forms: people leave their details without leaving Facebook or Instagram. They generate more leads at a lower cost, with a lower average level of intent.
  • Landing pages: people land on your website and fill in a form. You get fewer leads, but they are usually more motivated.

I pick the right option based on how quickly you can follow up with leads and how much each customer is worth. Where possible I connect leads to your CRM and tell Meta which ones became customers, so campaigns learn to find similar people.

Meta Ads for local businesses

Run a restaurant, a gym or a beauty salon? With Meta Ads you reach people who live or work near your business, with an offer designed for the area and one simple action: book, call or message on WhatsApp. Even on a modest budget you can measure how many enquiries come from your ads.

FAQ

I’ve already tried advertising on Facebook and it didn’t work. Why would it be different this time?

When campaigns underperform, the cause is almost always one of three problems: broken tracking, the wrong campaign objective, or creatives that never get refreshed. The “Boost post” button on your Page and campaigns run from Ads Manager are two different tools. Before touching the budget, I check what didn’t work and why.

How much do I need to spend on ads to get started?

The minimum budget depends on the cost of a lead or a sale in your industry. Meta needs a certain number of conversions every week to optimize well. If the budget is too low, the campaign never leaves the learning phase. During the analysis I’ll give you a starting figure and tell you plainly if it isn’t enough.

Is the ad budget included in your fee?

No. You pay for ad spend directly to Meta with your own payment method, on your own ad account. My fee covers strategy, management, creatives and reporting. You can always see how much you’ve spent and where.

Does the ad account stay mine?

Yes. I work on your Business Manager with partner access. Pixel, audiences, catalogs and historical data stay yours even if we stop working together.

Do I need to provide photos and videos for the ads?

You can supply them, or we can produce them together. I write the copy, prepare briefs for photos and videos and propose new variants to test every month. If needed, I coordinate with your designer or a videographer.
